BROWNIE SUPERSTAR COMPLETES EVERY INTEREST BADGE

A Great Harwood youngster has become the first to complete all 57 badges for a local Brownies group. Fyske Whitehead, 10, is the first from the 4th Great Harwood Brownies unit to complete all 57 interest badges, as well as being the first in Accrington Division. The St Bartholomew’s pupil was awarded her final badge, Advanced Camper, after sleeping under a Big Top at Girlguiding Waddow Hall’s Magic and Mayhem weekend for Brownies. Rural Revels

  39 members of Girlguiding Ribble Valley attended a day of Rural Revels at the Coniston Estate, Coniston Cold. The girls, Guides (aged 10 – 14) and members of The Senior Section (aged 14 – 26) took part in clay pigeon shooting, bush craft and falconry. For many of the young people it was the first time they had fired a gun or held a bird.
