A Great Harwood youngster has become the first to complete all 57 badges for a local Brownies group. Fyske Whitehead, 10, is the first from the 4th Great Harwood Brownies unit to complete all 57 interest badges, as well as being the first in Accrington Division. Rural Revels

  39 members of Girlguiding Ribble Valley attended a day of Rural Revels at the Coniston Estate, Coniston Cold. The girls, Guides (aged 10 – 14) and members of The Senior Section (aged 14 – 26) took part in clay pigeon shooting, bush craft and falconry. For many of the young people it was the first time they had fired a gun or held a bird. Brownies Buzzing after Bimble Bumble at Brockholes

61 Brownies 2 members of The Senior Section and 15 adult Leaders attended the Ribble Valley Brownie Bimble Bumble at Brockholes nature reserve which is owned and managed by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust. The girls took part in den building, pond dipping, making a bug house for bees and had time to explore the site and the adventure playground. And everyone enjoyed using their ice-cream vouchers in the café.                 92 Rainbows (girls aged 5 to 7) and Leaders from across East Lancashire travelled to the Rainbow Factory near Leeds, to celebrate the 30th birthday of Rainbows on the Girlguiding Lancashire East County Rainbow Day.
