1st Waddington Rainbows, who meet at Waddow Hall, are delighted to have been awarded Girlguiding’s ‘Doing our Best’ Quality Mark.
The Rainbows, all aged between 5 and 7, took part in a Girlguiding Quality Mark pilot project. They gathered lots of evidence of their programme, policies and procedures and then submitted an online portfolio at the end of last year. This was reviewed by Girlguiding and Ambition (an external Quality Organisation), and the Rainbows were pleased to hear they had achieved the qualification.
The feedback from this review said: You submitted an excellent portfolio of evidence which demonstrated that you have met all of the Quality Standards. We are delighted to award your unit the ‘Doing Our Best’ Quality Mark and badge. Congratulations on this really significant achievement, and all that you and your team do to provide high quality experiences for your girls and young women.”
Unit Leader, Lucy Hatherell said “I am really proud we have achieved this Quality Mark, huge thanks go to all the leaders and girls at the unit who helped us achieve this”
Ellie, age 5 said “My favourite thing about Rainbows is playing with my friends!” and Layla, age 6 said “I liked it when we played in the snow!”
